Single Father Ep Two
Oct. 18th, 2010 02:23 pmHmmmm, not so much a fan of this one.
Last week Dave could be forgiven for messing everything up. He'd just lost his wife. But he still has four children in his house, plus one more, to look after. Just how many times is he going to forget about them? His dealing with Lucy seems haphazard and not really what she needs, while the rest of them get shoved from Aunt to, Dad's ex-wife? Hardly the family they need around them is it?
Although I do applaud him for telling the Aunt that actually, they are his kids, not hers, what he says goes. One sure fire way to confuse children is too have too many adults telling them what to do, especially when they don't agree with each other.
Ewen I want to hug tight and tell it will all be OK. Poor kid. He was calling out for the attention, therefore he obviously needs it.
And this thing with Sarah, stupid boy. But stupid her too, she should know better.
This didn't move me as much as last week, but again I'm not sure that my complaining is actual complaining. If I care about what they're doing it's probably not, at least then they've engaged me. And it's frustrating not actually being able to do anything (mostly because its fictional...), so therefore it must be doing something right!
