Up to 'Needs' now. Loving it greatly. And begining to see Joss more and more coming through.
I think the show is bouncing up and down. I fell in love with the idea by ep 2. But then things like 'Stage Fright' were kinda of mediocre. I loved 'Echoes' as a piece of television, very obivously Joss, but it didn't really seem to fit in with the feel of Dollhouse. He's done the ep too often, with 'Band Candy' in Buffy and... nope, can't remember the ep title but they all reverted to teenagers in Angel. It didn't feel right, maybe it was too early in the show? I don't know. But then 'Needs' was amazing!
I think Paul Ballards character is interesting, more so than i was expecting of him. I also want to see where they go with Mellie. (Who I knew was an active, then wasn't sure, then was sure she wasn't just before they reveal her to be, damn Joss with his double/triple twists so you never know which way up you are!!)
And obivously shippiung Tropher/Claire. Not so much Sierra/Victor, totally don't get that!

Date: 2009-04-17 07:06 pm (UTC)The Angel ep was... wow I can't remember the name either. But it was S4 right? Trying to get Cordelia's memories back?
I know what you mean about that one, plot device that's been a little overused, maybe something that should have come a bit later on. Although I did enjoy Adelle bouncing up and down on the trampoline and trying to climb over the railing in her tight skirt.
LOL I had the same thing with Mellie. I thought at the start she had to be an active, then had decided she wasn't and then... she was. Joss is too good at that kind of thing.
The only thing I was disappointed in with 'Needs' was Victor's storyline, I'd like to have seen some kind of hint as to how he came to be in the Dollhouse.
I'm with you on Sierra/Victor, actually I don't really get shipping any of the dolls tbh, most of the time they have a personality that isn't theirs. Shipping for me is not just about 'oh they look pretty together, I'll ship them!' (well... most of the time it's not anyway), We don't really know enough of them as themselves to ship them, am I making any sense?
*goes off to look for Dollhouse icons*
